Chat Marketing was established in 2010 by Alan Martin after extensive experience in the marketing industry. Alan runs the company with his wife and business partner Amanda Martin.

Alan has over 10 years' marketing experience and an impressive track record working for VisitScotland Fife and Dundee Science Centre. He is also Chair Person of the Tayside Branch of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM). Alan's marketing work has won various awards including ASVA Leaflet of the Year and Runner Up award for Website of The Year.
Alan is also in demand as a public speaker and has spoken at a number of local events as well as National and International events such as The CIM International Tutor Conference and European Customer Experience World.
In 2010 Alan spoke to the Magnificent Yorkshire Attractions Group on social media best practice, and has spoken at the international European Customer Experience World conference in London.
Alan holds a BA in Travel and Tourism Development from The University of Abertay Dundee.
